Description
About the Role

We are seeking a compliance-driven Health & Safety Advisor for an immediate minimum 3-month fixed term contract in the Moray region. This onsite role places you at the heart of an Upper Tier COMAH facility, managing a high-hazard, compliance-heavy environment featuring significant volumes of flammable materials.
This position is ideal for an H&S professional, ideally coming from a malt distilling, oil & gas, process manufacturing, or heavy infrastructure background who thrives on technical precision and digital management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Management: Assist with the daily running and maintenance of the compliance and health and safety management system on an Upper Tier COMAH site.
  • Hazard & Incident Control: Report site hazards, manage the triage process, and develop effective, proactive actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Production Support: Act as the primary onsite point of contact to assist production staff with day-to-day safety concerns.
  • Contractor Management: Review and assist with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for incoming contractor work.
  • Auditing: Conduct regular onsite safety audits, rigorously tracking all corrective actions through to completion.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent H&S qualification).
  • Technical Skills: High level of IT literacy; the site operates on a sophisticated digital management system.
  • Logistics: Valid UK driving licence, personal vehicle, and mobile phone.

Desirable Experience:
  • Prior experience working on a COMAH site (highly preferred).
  • A background in Process Health & Safety or Engineering.
  • Experience within the construction or infrastructure sectors.
  • A naturally compliance-focused mindset paired with practical engineering awareness.

What's on Offer?
A critical, resume-building contract on a major hazard facility.
Accommodation support is available for the right candidate if relocating or travelling from outside the Moray area.
Highly likely extension opportunities based on site requirements.
