An excellent opportunity has arisen to join an award-winning regional developer based in Livingston. This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of residential developments within a collaborative and supportive Technical team environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments as well as external architectural and engineering consultants to help deliver high-quality housing developments from early-stage design through to approvals and construction support.
This position would suit an Architect with residential experience who enjoys both design and technical delivery and is looking to develop their career within a well-established and growing developer.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
•Have experience working on new-build housing and flatted developments within the residential and/or social housing sectors.
•Be proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit with strong general IT skills including Microsoft Office and Teams.
•Have a good understanding of Scottish Building Regulations, NHBC standards and Housing for Varying Needs.
•Possess solid technical detailing and construction knowledge.
•Be organised, proactive and capable of managing workload effectively.
•Demonstrate strong communication and coordination skills when working with consultants and project teams.
•Have a collaborative approach and a genuine interest in delivering high-quality homes and developments.
•Experience using Project Vault would be advantageous but is not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
•Assist in the coordination of external consultants and project teams to ensure projects progress in line with programme requirements.
•Support the preparation and coordination of Planning and Building Warrant submissions.
•Liaise with statutory authorities and respond to technical queries throughout the approvals process.
•Produce and review technical drawings, construction details and working drawing packages.
•Coordinate technical information between consultants, suppliers and internal departments.
•Respond to site queries and assist in resolving technical and construction-related issues.
•Attend project meetings, pre-start meetings and site visits as required.
•Support the development and implementation of standard house type designs.
•Assist with technical input for sales and marketing materials where required.
•Contribute to the smooth running and administration of the Technical Department.
