- Description
- Our client a leading Construction and Civils Contractor based in the Aberdeen area has a requirement for a Estimator to join their busy team.
This role includes all aspects of estimating which includes compiling costs for clients / potential clients.
Duties will include calculating project costs and creating bills of quantities accorndingly.
Tasks will also include:
- Interpretation of specifications and measuring from drawings
- Compiling Bills of Quantities
- To obtain best price from suppliers and subcontractors
- Preparation and submission of tenders
- Raising and costing variations
- To review contracts to ensure they reflect tender submitted
- Identifying project risks and building in contingencies
- Preparation of terms and conditions
- Business Generation
- Following up tenders and negotiating contracts.
- To be involved in handover meetings when a contract is awarded
- Administration of all paperwork associated with estimating
