Description
My client is a leading construction firm specialising in civil engineering projects. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, they deliver high-quality construction solutions tailored to meet the needs of our clients. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Civil Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team.
As a Civil Quantity Surveyor with my client, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of their construction projects. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of the construction projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
·Prepare, manage, and track project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports.
·Conduct cost analysis and cost control for construction projects.
·Measure and value the work done on site.
·Liaise with contractors, engineers, and clients to gather and provide accurate cost data.
·Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
·Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports on financial performance.
·Negotiate and agree on subcontractor and supplier payments.
·Manage and mitigate project risks and financial issues.
·Ensure compliance with all contractual and legal requirements.
·Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
Qualifications and Skills:
·Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the civil construction industry.
·Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
·Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
·The ability to negotiate terms, conditions and final accounts with sub-contractors, suppliers, clients and/ or their representatives.
·Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
·Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
