Job Description: As a Fit-Out Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our pre-construction team, responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with fit-out projects. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and knowledge of construction materials and processes will be essential in preparing comprehensive cost estimates and ensuring profitability for their projects.
Responsibilities:
• Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to understand the scope of work and project requirements.
• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Collaborate with the project management team to identify value engineering opportunities and alternative cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare accurate and competitive bid proposals, including cost breakdowns and schedules.
• Analyse project risks and uncertainties, making appropriate adjustments to estimates and budgets.
• Conduct supplier and subcontractor negotiations to secure the most competitive pricing.
• Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date cost database for accurate estimating.
• Collaborate with the project team to review and evaluate bids received from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Support project handover by providing detailed cost breakdowns and estimates to the operations team.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
