- Description
- Our client a well established Construction Company in Aberdeen are looking to add an experienced Estimator to their highly skilled and successful team due to planned growth within the business.
The company
They have been established for over 20 years, in this time they have built up a reputation for producing a high quality of work and an extensive client base including a number of blue chip clients.
They can operate as a Main Contractor and also in a Design & Build capacity; projects they cover vary and include: civils, new build commercial, leisure, retail and transport.
Overview of Role
To provide Estimating expertise and compile a compliant tender bid and work with operational teams to establish programme and prelim elements.
Duties will include
·Engaging new and existing supply chain members to ensure best market quotations
·Cost up companies internal elements and review historical rates and pricing strategies
·Meeting tender deadlines by issue of subcontractor and supplier enquiries
·Review subcontractor quotations and implement analysis of each trade
·Attend weekly estimating meetings and provide updates as required
The Person
·Demonstrable Estimating Experience
·Ideally from a construction background
·Highly organised and have excellent attention to detail
·Ability to self start and have a proactive nature
·Competent with Microsoft packages
