Description
Experienced Site Manager required to join team of an industry-leading company to assist delivery of a complex and time critical engineering construction project.

Original contract of 10 months for position based in Somerset with look to go permanent.
The company delivers top quality structural, mechanical and electrical projects for blue chip manufacturers in a range of industries.

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • High focus on Health, Safety and the Environment
  • A track record of safely delivering projects on time and within budget to the required quality standards. 
  • Demonstrated capability to manage large and complex construction sites to satisfy CDM Regulations in the status of Principal Contractor
  • Ability to manage and motivate site resources and contractors to meet tight schedule, maintaining productivity while not sacrificing Health and Safety
  • Strong planning skills, able to build project delivery logic and track progress on a regular basis
  • A strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and structural engineering 
  • Excellent communication skills
The successful candidate will manage this project from inception on the Client’s site, establishing all required infrastructure and working collaboratively to detail the installation plan.  
They will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the project, with two supervisors, managing up to 25 resources on site and multiple contractors, reporting to the Contract Manager.  


Must have
  • SMSTS certification and a valid CSCS card
  • Health and Safety focus
  • Supervisory experience in the Construction or Engineering industries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy in the MS suite and project software
  • Strong numeracy with good analytical skills and reporting
Salary D.O.E, pro rata- rate 10 month contract originally.
