- Description
- C&P are looking for an Estimator in the West Lothian area for a Main Contractor with a look to get started ASAP.
The job includes:
- Pricing a wide range of works
- Preparing quotations, budgets and tender returns
- Researching material costs and undertaking purchasing, making savings where possible
- Negotiating terms with and appointing subcontractors
- Tracking of live project costs and variations against budget, producing reports
- Preparing interim valuations
- Interfacing with clients throughout project duration, attending meetings, networking
- Previous construction estimating experience, Joinery and Groundworks, general build background
- Excellent communication skills, fluent verbal and written English
- Highly numerate with intermediate/advanced excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Organised, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonally and client facing
- Effective negotiation skills
- Valid UK driving licence
