- About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Architectural Technician to join our client based in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician to contribute to a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects across Scotland. You will play a key role in the technical development and delivery of projects from concept through to construction.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, technical packages, and specifications using CAD/BIM software.
- Assist in the development of planning and building warrant submissions.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
- Ensure drawings and documentation comply with UK Building Regulations and relevant standards
- Support project teams through technical problem-solving and design development.
- Produce and manage technical information during all project stages
Requirements- Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience desirable).
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
- Experience working on UK-based projects (preferably in residential or commercial sectors).
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Desirable Skills- Experience with BIM workflows and Revit.
- Knowledge of Scottish Building Standards and planning processes.
- Experience coordinating consultant information.
