- We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our client's team and get stuck into the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of large plant machinery. If you enjoy hands-on work, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and love working with heavy equipment, this could be the perfect role for you!
What you'll be doing:- Carrying out planned maintenance and repairs on large plant machinery.
- Diagnosing faults and performing breakdown repairs to keep downtime to a minimum.
- Installing, assembling, and testing mechanical systems and components.
- Collaborating with the maintenance team to ensure safe and smooth operations.
- Keeping accurate service records and following health & safety standards.
What we're looking for:- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally in plant, heavy machinery, or similar industries.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
