Description
Our client is one of Scotland's most awarded civil construction subcontractors who specialises in residential projects, including bespoke flatted developments. Our client is currently seeking a talented and motivated Residential Civil Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh. As a Residential Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of bespoke flatted developments in Edinburgh. You will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

• Provide civil engineering expertise and support throughout all stages of the construction process for bespoke flatted developments.

• Assist with site assessments, feasibility studies, and site investigations to inform project planning and decision-making.

• Develop civil engineering designs, site layouts, and infrastructure solutions by project requirements and specifications.

• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other design professionals to integrate civil engineering components seamlessly into building designs.

• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.

• Liaise with regulatory authorities, utility providers, and local agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.

• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and relevant regulations.

• Address and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during construction.

• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to verify workmanship and adherence to standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in residential civil engineering, preferably within the construction industry (Residential).

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software.

• Strong knowledge of local building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices in Edinburgh.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
