- Description
- Core objectives: To service and repair company equipment in a safe and efficient manner. You will be expected to ensure that the hired equipment is checked, serviced and repaired up to company standards. Due to the fast-paced nature of the hire industry vehicle mechanics will need to demonstrate flexibility in adapting to a change of situation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Attend to a list of vehicles that are due for repair/ service in preparation for hire. (every morning)
· To service, repair, maintain all plant & Rental equipment on time and ensure it is ready for hire.
· Complete all necessary paperwork such as job sheets etc.
· Check service certificates that are due and update service stickers on equipment.
· Carry out off hire inspections raising and recording damages where necessary.
· Clean, wash and fuel vehicles from off hire.
· Ensure all vehicles prepared for hire are up to company standards
· Ensure safety of vehicle, check oil, tyres, screen wash…etc.
· Test drive vehicles if required
· Deliver and/ or collect Rental equipment, liaising professionally with customers.
· Assist with site/ yard maintenance.
