- The Candidate
- Our Client is currently looking for a Clerk of Works for their new housing sector. They are looking for a candidate with former experience (ideally 3 years+) of delivering clerk of works services on a variety of new build, capital and cyclical projects at all stages of the construction process. Ideally the candidate will have a background in the social housing sector.
- The Candidate should have ideally obtained Scottish Credit & Qualifications Framework Level 8 (HND SVQ Level 4) in a construction related discipline with a minimum of 3 years related experience.
- Or full Corporate Membership of the Institute of Clerk of Works.
- Have a Full Driving License
The Position and Duties
The Clerk of Works will be expected to contribute across all the key functions identified above. This will include the post holder:
- Carrying out detailed on-site inspections across a range of new build, capital and cyclical projects to ensure that building works are carried out in accordance with the specification, drawings and the Association’s Design Guide, and that all workmanship is to the highest quality standard.
- Working with both internal and external project teams to maximise quality in both design and build, and to ensure successful project completion and handover in accordance with the Association’s policies and procedures.
- Provision of technical advice to the Association on the design and construction of new build, capital and cyclical works.
- Monitoring, controlling and reporting on the progress of delivery against programme and quality standards.
- Assisting in the collection of feedback on completed new build, capital and cyclical projects and using this to enhance customer satisfaction levels within future developments.
