- The Candidate
- Our Client is currently looking for a Development Officer for their new housing sector. Our Client is willing to accept candidates who do not have experience in all areas but that has a proven record for willingness and capacity to succeed in a new role and learn how to operate efficiently in areas new to them. Ideally the candidate will have a background in the social housing sector and experience in a project management position or similar on new build projects. The candidate would ideally have also managed projects from initial stages through to completion.
- The Candidate should ideally be educated to degree level or Have Scottish Credit & Qualifications Framework Level 8 (HND SVQ Level 4) in a construction related discipline with a minimum of 3 years related experience.

The Position and Duties
As a Development Officer you will be a face of representation for the client within the project you are placed and will liaise with the main contractor in key decisions on behalf of the company.
Your key responsibilities will include-
- Build Properties. This will include attendance at pre-planning consultation events, updating the website, assisting with and attending handover events, submission of competition entries and provision of information to colleagues and Board members when required.
- Collect and collate completed project data (defects data, resident feedback surveys, feedback from external and internal project teams and material/component performance).
- Make recommendations for updating the Association’s Design Guide, Employers Requirements and other design and contract criteria.
- Draft reports, discussion/option papers, policies and strategies for submission to the Board/Committees/Working Groups as required.
- Liaise with the Association’s partner agencies and key external stakeholders as required in relation to new build developments.
- Co-ordinate and administer shared ownership/shared equity sales, where appropriate.
- Identify, develop and implement new processes and procedures to promote continuous improvement.
