- Our client a leading construction and civil engineering contractor has a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their busy team based in the Aberdeen area.
With an outstanding track record of delivering projects on time and in budget, our client offers a busy and enjoyable place to work.
The successful Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor will have a proven background in both Quantity Surveying and Estimating delivering Construction and Civil Engineering schemes and projects.
This is a permanant position with an excellent salary and benefits package on offer for the successful candidate.
Duties of this role will include:
- Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Identify labour, material, and time requirements
- Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Allocate work to subcontractors
- Provide advice on contractual claims
- Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports
- Value completed work and arrange payments
- Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
- Understand the implications of health and safety regulations
