- Our client is a highly specialist sub contractor to the Construction Industry.
With contracts throughout the UK, and extremely developed relationships with virtually every main contractor, our client requires a QS who has recently graduated or preferably with 1-2 years experience operating in a sub contracting environment. Training and support will be available and this may suit an "entry level" candidate with the right drive and determination to succeed and forge a successful career in Quantity Surveying.
You will be based in their brand new, purpose built premises near Broxburn.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will potentially be involved in a wide ranging variety of tasks to include but not limited to the following:
- Preparation of estimates, bids and tenders.
- Prepare and monitor cash flow forecast for ongoing and upcoming contracts.
- Preparation and submission of monthly applications for payment to the Client/Client’s representative.
- Submit invoices for certified valuations, ensuring payments are received on time.
- Value and authorise payments to sub-contractors.
- Liaise with Commercial Manager to establish project specification and requirements.
- Monitor contract progress and assist with reporting and assessing changes that may affect project costs and or time scales
- Dealing with customer enquiries over the phone and via email
- Hold a relevant Quantity Surveying qualification
- Ideally with some experience within a specialist sub contractor background
- IT literate
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred but not essential
