- Our client is a highly regarded, extremely specialist sub contractor to the Construction Industry.
With several specialist divisions under one roof, they are currentky looking for an experienced Fire Protection Contracts Manager to head up their Fire Protection Division.
You will be highly experienced in this field with excellent industry knowledge, excellent customer service ability, and an ability to develop new business opportunities as well as nurture existing business relationships.
You will be required to manage the commercial and contractual requirements associated with the Fire Protection division.
You will have experience in running squads of labour over multiple sites, managing and distributing labour efficiently and effectively throughout Scotland.
You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards while growing the business in all areas of this busy division.
Key Responsibilities;
- Assist with commercial administration and management of live projects
- Attend meetings with the Managing Director to offer commercial guidance where necessary
- Review interim applications and variation accounts
- Manage the direct labour force
- Assistance with contractual matters
- Measurement of progress on live projects, submitting valuations and monitoring receipt of timely payment notifications
- Assist with estimates and pricing tenders in order to win new work for the business including PQQ opportunities
- Manage costs on projects and ensure timely notifications are served to our Client base for variation orders & dayworks.
- Ensure the business is not compromised nor disadvantaged by commercial or financial arrangements
- Experience in working with Main Contractors & Subcontractors would be advantageous
- Good Levels of numeracy and a proactive approach to their work load
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Good I.T Skills
