- Description
- We are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a contractor which offers tailored specialist services in the repair and protection of built assets across the infrastructure sector. This company has a strong name throughout the UK as well as further afield, and in recent years has began to demonstrate a real presence in Scotland - delivering repair and strengthening solutions to some of the country's most notable and well-used structures.
As a site-based Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing all contractual and commercial elements of the project you're based on, ensuring that the project is delivered to the highest standard while retaining a robust commercially-focused outlook to best ensure the profitability of the job. You will be client-focused, and comfortable developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including supporting an Assistant QS where required.
We'd like to speak to you about this job if you have:
- Experience as a quantity surveyor within a construction environment, experience of steel and concrete structures in the infrastructure sector preferred
- A strong understanding of construction methods
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
- A relevant degree or qualification in quantity surveying
