- Landscaping & Civils Quantity Surveyor - Edinburgh
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in landscaping or civils? We are working with a leading contractor based in Edinburgh who is looking to add a skilled QS to their team.
The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of projects, ensuring cost control and profitability while maintaining high-quality standards. Your role will involve working closely with project managers, clients, and suppliers to deliver successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing project finances from tender stage through to final account
• Preparing valuations, variations, and cost reporting
• Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers
• Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions
• Identifying and mitigating risks across projects
• Liaising with clients, site teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
Requirements:
• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the landscaping and/or civils sector
• Strong knowledge of standard contract forms such as JCT and NEC
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in cost reporting and financial management
• Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
