- My client is a well-known, leading civil engineering and construction company. Their team is composed of skilled professionals who are passionate about innovation, safety, and sustainability in construction. I am currently seeking a motivated and experienced Site Engineer to join my client's dynamic team.
As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing construction activities on-site. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your technical expertise and leadership skills will be essential in coordinating various aspects of construction projects, from initial planning to final completion.
Key Responsibilities:
·Oversee and manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring all activities are conducted according to project plans and specifications.
·Setting out of roads, sewers and structures.
·Setting out sites and facilities.
·Monitor and inspect construction progress to ensure compliance with design documents, quality standards, and safety regulations.
·Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers and subcontractors.
·Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, and as-built drawings.
·Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that may arise, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
·Ensure adherence to all health and safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel.
·Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and storage on-site.
·Manage and mentor site staff, providing guidance and support to foster their professional development.
Qualifications:
·Experience in a site engineering role within the construction industry.
·HNC/HND Civil Engineering
·CSCS card
·SSSTS
·Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
·Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
·Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
