Description
Job Title: Demolition Top Man

Job Overview:
I am seeking a skilled and experienced Demolition Top Man to join my Client team. As a Demolition Top Man, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a crew of demolition workers, ensuring safe and efficient demolition operations. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to execute demolition projects in compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of demolition techniques, excellent leadership skills, and a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

·Lead and supervise a crew of demolition workers during all phases of demolition projects.
·Ensure that demolition operations are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations.
·Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop demolition plans and strategies.
·Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and goals.
·Train and mentor team members on proper demolition techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
·Conduct on-site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
·Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
·Monitor and maintain equipment in good working condition, reporting any malfunctions or defects for repair.
·Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to minimize accidents and injuries.
·Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote a safety culture among the team.
·Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify specific requirements and constraints.
·Maintain accurate records, including daily progress reports, equipment usage, and safety documentation.
·Communicate effectively with team members, project stakeholders, and clients to address concerns and provide project updates.
·Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to demolition techniques and safety procedures.
Requirements:

·Proven experience as a Demolition Top Man or similar role in the demolition industry.
·In-depth knowledge of demolition techniques, equipment, and safety regulations.
·Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a diverse crew.
·Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
·Solid understanding of construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
·Ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines.
·Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
·Proficiency in using demolition equipment and tools.
·Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
·Physical stamina and the ability to work in challenging environments.
·Relevant certifications or licenses in demolition or related fields are preferred. CCDO Essential
