Description
We are delighted to be working with a leading construction company based in Edinburgh, who are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on exciting projects, gain valuable experience and work with an experienced commercial team who will provide support and assistance to develop your career.
Our client specializes in commercial and residential projects primarily in the Edinburgh area. They have a reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects and take pride in their commitment to excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities: As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will provide support to our experienced Quantity Surveyors and work closely with other departments within the company. Your primary responsibilities will include:
· Assisting in the preparation and submission of accurate cost estimates, tenders, and bids.
· Assisting with the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to project timelines.
· Contributing to the preparation of contract documentation, including contract terms, conditions, and pricing schedules.
· Assisting in the measurement and valuation of quantities, variations, and final accounts.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
· Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or experience
· Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
· Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
· Proficient in using computerized quantity surveying software.
· Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost control.
