- Exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer to join one of Scotland’s leading Main Contractors based in Glasgow and the Central Belt.
Construction and Property Recruitment is delighted to bring this new and exciting opportunity to market on behalf of a well-established and hugely successful Main Contractor.
With a vast portfolio of projects underway and more about to start across Glasgow and the Central Belt, this is an immediate opportunity to join this hugely successful construction group as they strengthen their management team and commit to long-term partnerships within Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
- All line and level on any contract you are to "set out"
- Plotting of grids before and after site strips and excavation
- The completed grid and any other useful information handed to the Contract Surveyor
- Site paperwork to be kept up to date
- Check all temporary benchmarks are accurate and, if required, check back to ordinance survey datum's
- Maintain all site levels and theodolites in good condition
- Report on any faults to Plant Manager and constantly check for accuracy regarding these instruments
- Be part of the Site Management Team on any site you are engineering, assist in Site Managers absence
- Carry out tasks the Site Manager may require on any contract you are working
- Record and write up measurements for bonus and valuation purposes
- Materials checking and recording deliveries, reconcile quantities
- Quality Control inspection and reports
- Plant – inspect, ensure daily maintenance, check on and off-hire
- Safety – report any matters requiring attention to Site Manager
- Keep weekly records as required
