- Description
- We are currently looking for an experienced MEP Design Manager for a Specialist Main contractor in Edinburgh with a look to start in the immediate future.
They see this position as a Key Placement in their well established but growing organisation.
They have a reputation for being a contractor of choice and have successfully delivered numerous projects over the years.
Projects are predominately NHS & Healthcare setting comprising specialist fit out and refurbishment to accommodate installations of diagnostic imaging equipment including X-ray, MRI & CT scanners for major blue chip clients.
Duties will include:
· Leading Mechanical & Electrical Designs, including low voltage, 1PS/UPS mechanical Ventilation and chilled water systems
· Managing a team of MEP Cad Tech/Revit personnel
· Liaise with client, consultant, sub-contractors & internal engineering and design departments.
· Develop, manage, monitor and lead the entire MEP Design Process for the Project.
· Travel to sites throughout UK and Ireland as required (2-3 times a month)
Must be/have
· Degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
· Healthcare technical experience
· Demonstrable Drafting Experience
· Proven Track Record and understanding of HTM/HBN Guidelines
· Experience managing a team of MEP Cad/Revit Technicians
· Driving Licence
Desirable but not essential
· Revit & BIM Modelling experience
· NBS Corus Experience
· Project Management Experience
· A standard Disclosure Scotland will be required, but it is not essential to have a copy at this stage
