- Description
- We are currently looking for a Materials Buyer for a well established Property Developer in Edinburgh.
This position would suit an Experienced Buyer looking for a new challenge or potentially a Quantity Surveyor who has experience within procurement looking for a career change.
This is a great opportunity to join a successful Edinburgh based company as they go through a period of growth and that can offer long term employment on exciting projects.
Duties will include
• Being the centralised buyer for a number of sites both refurbishments and new builds
• Performing material take offs from drawings
• Communicating with site managers and conducting weekly site visits in order to deliver materials into site at the right time.
• Maintaining and updating materials matrix
• Negotiating with suppliers
Must have
· Experience within procurement in Construction
· Technical ability to interpret drawings and bill up materials
· Good Negotiation skills
· Excellent communication skills
