- C&P are currently looking for a Q.S from a General Construction Background in the Glasgow area.
Candidates should ideally have 2-5 years experience and be degree qualified or have relevant working experience.
Any external works experience will be a plus.
The successful candidate must hold the following skills:
- Excellent Construction Knowledge
- Full range of Contract Experience
- Relevant professional qualifications and/or experience
- Negotiation Skills
- A well-organised and self-motivated individual with good interpersonal skills
- Good presentation skills
- The robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit level
- Reporting accurate cash flow and carry out cost management including forecasting
- Update the monthly CVR, cost and commercial plans and have accountability, along with the project team for the commercial performance and strategy
- Ensure that commercial processes are adhered to across the business unit and actively seek to improve processes and procedures
- Developing and maintaining external relationships are key with both clients and the design team
- Responsible for subcontract letting, negotiation and financial accounting
- Ensure effective interaction between the commercial team and the operational site teams
- Ensure accurate and robust management of Subcontractor accounts including overseeing any dispute resolution
- Assist Project Team with Commercial analysis and guidance
- Provide key support to the Project Manager and Commercial Manager in order to complete the annual budget and monthly forecast
