- Description
- Construction and Property Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Officer to join one of their clients in Edinburgh . This is an ongoing vacancy which could lead to long term assignment for the right person.
Your role will involve
- Day to day repairs including joinery, painting and decorating, electrics, plumbing, plastering
- Overseeing the maintenance of a number of properties and Residential homes
- To inspect, where necessary, defects or repairs report to the office, identify the reason for the problem and ensuring it is repaired within the proper response time.
- Allocating work to contractors and sub contracted tradespeople when necessary
- Liaising with purchasing department to source equipment and materials
- Reporting progress on each project to senior management and providing regular updates
- Maintaining and developing good working relations with clients and staff
- Attended management meetings
- Maintained professional standards and act as a role model for staff
- Monitoring the performance of contractors and your team
- Monitor the progression of repairs, ensuring that they are managed within budget.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including updating spreadsheets and using
- Experience in a similar role
