- The Client and Role
My Client, an Edinburgh based firm, are currently looking to recruit a Part II Architectural Assistant on a contract basis, to work on several projects that they have recently taken on, to assist alongside their in house team.
This is a great oppurtunity for applicants who have recently completed university and are looking to get their foot in the door with a company that is involved in some very exciting projects or for a candidate who is looking to further their career and experience. The role is on a contract basis but there is the potential to join the company on a full time basis further down the line.
The Candidate -
To be considered for this position, the following requirements are needed:
- Part II qualification at a UK university (i.e MArch,Diploma,etc).
- Proficiency in presnting work in physical forms, 3d modeling and CAD formats
- Proven experience of CAD, Revit and Rhino, etc.
- Working knowledge of UK planning system, building regulations, NBS specifications
- Ability to produce technical and production drawings in accordance to relevant systems
- Preparation of concept schemes both by hand and using relevant software
- Ability to convey design in verbal presentations and meetings with clients
- Ability to liase with suppliers and sub-contractors, preparing reports and conduct site visits
- Refrences and contact info from relevant past work placements are essential
