Description
Our Public sector client are currently seeking a Clerk of Works to join the Property and Surveying team within the company. 
The Main purpose of the position will be to manage all costs relating to a specified building project. From the initial calculations to the final figures, surveyors should seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, whilst still achieving the required standards and quality whilst adhering to statutory building regulations.

Personal Specification:

* Previous experience in a similar role essential
* A wide understanding of the building industry, including knowledge of materials, trades, methods, and legal requirements
* Knowledge of equalities & diversity issues.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Good written communication skills, for completing paperwork and compiling reports.
* The ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with a variety of staff and/or contractors
* Ability to give accuracy and attention to detail
* Be prepared to work unsupervised to carry out inspections of specified sites.
