- Exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Manager or Advisor to join one of Scotland's leading Main Contractors based in Edinburgh and the Central Belt for a minimum 1 year Contact, This opportunity has the potential to go Permeant with our client.
Construction and Property Recruitment is delighted to bring this new and exciting opportunity to market on behalf of a well-established and hugely successful Main Contractor.
This role would suit a Health and Safety Manager looking for a new challenge or an experienced H&S advisor looking to take that next step with a business that can offer further opportunities to progress your career.
Duties will include:
• Providing advice, support and guidance on HSQE Matters
• Ensuring the company is up to date with H&S legislation
• Production of construction phase plans under CDM regulations
• Internal auditing for H&S, Quality & Environment
• Reviewing and advising on risk assessments, method statements
• H&S team meetings
• Ensure adequate noise, COSHH and Risk Assessments provided and keep records
• Monitor the health and safety performance of Management, Supervision, Contractors and Subcontractors report deficiencies to the Senior Manager on site.
Qualifications:
NEBOSH (or equivalent) qualified
• IOSH member (Chartered preferred)
• Have sound knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations within the Construction Industry.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, training, presentation and report writing skills
• Confident in decision making and providing sound advice
• Ability to represent the company in a professional manner
• IT literate
• Willing to travel on a regular basis
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
