- Construction and Property Recruitment are currently seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Clerk of Works to work for one of our clients in Moray area.
Experienced ‘Services’ Clerk of Works for carrying out site inspections of intensive work programmes in schools during the summer holiday period 1 July until 16 August. We would ideally like the candidate to start mid-June to allow time for understanding the various work programmes at 5 different school locations, which is a mix of heating works and electrical rewiring. Weekly inspection reports to the Contract Administrator will be required.
The candidate’s background could be mechanical or electrical, but they need to have a good working knowledge of current regulations for both areas. Our appointed Consultant will prepare the designs and specification and the successful candidate will be expected to monitor the installation in accordance with this and highlight any areas of non-compliance. The rate of pay will be £17.55/hour, but we may be prepared to discuss a slightly higher rate depending on candidate experience. If the appointed candidate has to use their own car a rate of £0.45 per mile will apply.
The position will be based in Elgin with a standard 40 hour week Mon to Fri, reporting to the Senior Building Surveyor. Candidates with experience only in domestic housing services installation will not be suitable for this position.
