- Description
- To service and repair company equipment in a safe and efficient manner. You will be expected to ensure that the hired equipment is checked, serviced and repaired up to company standards. Due to the fast paced nature of the plant hire industry workshop fitters will need to demonstrate flexibility in adapting to a change of situation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Complete jobs allocated by workshop supervisor and finish of outstanding jobs from previous day.
· To service, repair, maintain all equipment on time and ensure it is ready for hire.
· Complete job sheets and any other necessary paperwork.
· Test drive equipment where necessary.
· Check off hired plant.
· Complete a picking list for all plant going out on hire.
· Check all equipment is serviced to legal standards and if necessary is Allianz compliant.
· Carry out any necessary welding and fabrication work.
· Train and oversee apprentices if required.
Raise any problems or issues to the workshop supervisor or a manager
