Our client is looking for a highly experienced business development manager with a mechanical engineering background preferably, to operate in Bahrain. Experience of living and working in the Middle East would be a definite plus point but is not essential.

You must have a proven track record in developing business. My client has a company with an enviable record in engineering / contracting in EPC / Onshore / fabrication / multi discipline construction projects involving mainly fabrication, welding and machining activities. Experience of Aluminium smelter construction projects is highly regarded. You will be required to develop and maintain business and financial strategy and planning, monitoring managing and recording, including management and development of policies, systems and processes.

Responsibilities:

Act as a single point of contact between management and clients.

Identify potential business areas / clients / new and running projects, initiate and liaising tender activities and reporting to the managing director.

Evaluation & presentation of business proposals & tenders. Analysis of client requirements and appreciate / coordinate the Operations Manager and assist the Ops Manager and the operations teams in getting the proposals / tenders / offers and submission to the clients.

Engaging with negotiations and order finalisations with clients by working closely with the Ops Manager.

Working hand in hand with the Ops Manager on day to day operations and shop floor management reporting to the MD to ensure collectively to maintain production targets and schedules.

Evaluation and presentation of business proposals and tenders. Analysis of client requirements and assisting the management in sales and marketing.

Focusing of the marketing trends and business opportunities to manufacture a quality product on time at a competitive cost as well as to continually upgrade the organisation to better serve the clients.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline

Experience in Fabrication & Welding in a contracting company or EPC.

Experience of working with multi cultural teams is highly regarded.

You need to be a strong team builder with strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills which you must be able to demonstrate. You should be innovative and strongly motivated by achievement.
